Find out about your professional sports physio

Learn the story of how Connor began treating athletes for sports injuries.

Sport has always been a passion.

I have been involved in a lot of sports throughout my life. Climbing and gymnastics are my main sport, which I have been doing for over 10yrs now, but I also enjoy powerlifting, boxing and jiu-jitsu on a regular basis.

I have to do something.

Being involved in sports to a high level, injuries are inevitable, and I regularly saw people around me wearing injuries as a badge of honour (of how much they’re pushing themselves) rather than getting them seen to and reaching their full potential. This is something that stuck with me as a little backwards, and I aim to change that mindset, as peak health and performance by definition, are devoid of injury.

Something finally clicked.

This journey led me towards personal training, strength and conditioning, and sports massage, so I would be able to focus my training and that of those around me to get a step ahead of the pack whilst minimizing injury risk. Due to the success of this, and the joy it brought me all those years ago, this career path was inevitable. for me!

A whole new world.

I now use the skills I have gained from my physiotherapy degree and combine them with strength and conditioning principles and sports psychology to deliver highly individualized and rounded recovery and injury prevention plans.

It doesn’t matter what level the person is, helping them get back to the sport/activities they love makes me so happy. Working around sporting injuries is fantastic as you are generally working with people who do the work required and get better much faster as a result… I’ve no desire to string people on for months for nonsense physio, I want to fix your problem, make it a strength, and see you succeed thereafter.
